This programme will enable front line supervisors in a tourist environment to be able to manage the operation more efficiently and effectively professionally.
Module 1 Understanding Teamwork in a modern organisation and what it entails to supervise teams to achieve touristic excellence.
Ability to understand how team works from a tactical and psychological point of view and how to transform these team features into work benefits.
Review of Theories and Practices of Supervision Management in a modern touristic delivery work environment.
Be able to use different approaches to different scenarios to address, work pressures, new challenges and ensuring delivery of the team commitment on time and on budget.
How to motivate Teams in the tourist service industry where the person delivering the service is part of the holistic client experience.
Be able to come up with tactical plans which will enable the supervisor to stipulate, manage, control and incentivise the team in order to provide a second to none level of service.
How to Delegate Professionally.
Be able to delegate professionally to team work to be done and ensure a non-direct or confrontational attitude but get the best possible out of the team through tactical management and motivation.
Understanding the Maltese law related to discipline, fair treatment and dismissal of team members who will jeopardise the business/client experience.
Be able to enforce discipline in a fair and equitable way, in a legally correct way and if need be how to dismiss a team member/s after fair course of justice.
Managing Team Stress when working under pressure
Be able to manage team stress under different work scenarios and protect the mental health of the team members from burnout and learn how to de- stress the team.
Time Management for Supervisors
Be able to plan the day, allocate fair time and match load (predicted or not) to the best possible outcome in the given circumstances.
Management of Team Conflicts
Be able to manage intra team conflicts before they escalate and portray a professional supervisory image and delivery to the team.
